A Newer, Hipper Sterling

Updated: Sep 18, 2018

I first left “inside the Beltway” and came to Loudoun County in 2003. With new, affordable housing built for real living, I was happy to make it home. We had some shopping, lots of planned walking areas, and even a little mall.

Fast forward to 2017 and my neighborhood has had a complete makeover. Sure, this is happening all over LoCo, but in the Cascades/Dulles region, businesses, plazas, and town centers seem to be popping up at a tremendous pace and it’s wonderful!

I met someone for coffee at the Colada Shop the other day and marveled once again that this was right around the corner now. In the evenings between Burtons, Abbotts, and Choolah, the area is hopping with dinners, families, and activity.

In the Dulles plaza, Magnolias, Nothing Bundt Cake, Cafesano, and Burger 21 have each become new family favoites (those lavash chips at Cafesano?)

Our family is happy in Eastern Loudoun and did not intend to leave, all of these wonderful businesses are enhancing our life here and continue to make us proud to call it home <3
