The last few weeks I’ve been touching base with lots of friends and past clients, and many are asking me about the Real Estate market.
Most everyone has been very surprised to hear that while things have slowed a bit, and prices have adjusted slightly in some areas, the market is still moving really, really well!
I think this is due in part to how hot and fast moving our market was during the spring. The spring real estate market actually starts in January, so by the time things started to shut down due to the pandemic, we were already well into the spring market, and there was a lot of pent-up demand with not enough inventory. Certainly some of those buyers have decided to wait, but many others have decided to use this opportunity to secure their next home.
We are still doing business, just a little differently than before. Virtual showings, open houses, and previews are the way of the world right now. We are relying even more heavily on video and virtual tours. Sellers are ensuring that when buyers are viewing their properties that they are serious and preapproved, and are limiting the number of people who are accessing a home at any given time.
Everything is figureoutable, and we’ve figured out how to continue to conduct business for our clients that are in need of making immediate changes, while still doing everything we can to keep everyone safe.
